On 31st July 2025, UPL Private Limited officially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Sampath Bank PLC to advance collaborative efforts under the Sampath Bank’s Agri-Entrepreneurship Development Program. The signing ceremony was done with representatives from both organizations, CIC Holdings PLC and Sampath Bank in attendance.

This partnership builds on several successful joint initiatives already initiated, including developing mushroom cultivation under shade houses and promoting advanced fertilizer solutions to enhance productivity and sustainability in farming. 

Speaking at the event, representatives from both Unipower and Sampath Bank emphasized their shared commitment to supporting Sri Lankan farmers by introducing innovative agricultural technologies, fostering entrepreneurship, and creating sustainable income opportunities.

The newly signed MOU marks the beginning of a strengthened, long-term partnership that aims to drive impactful changes in the agriculture sector, benefiting communities and the national economy alike.
